A rare translucent Aquaprase oval cabochon that we sourced directly and cut from our own rough material. Chrysoprase is a silicate mineral and the unique color is caused by tiny inclusions of Nickel silicates that refract the light. A combination of Chromium, Nickel and Zinc contribute to the unique powder blue- to bluish green color spectrum. Because Aquaprase is a chalcedony, it is hard, durable and lustrous, ideal for jewelry making.
Aquaprase is a newly discovered gemstone variety of chalcedony with vibrant bluish-green color and comes from a non-disclosed location in Africa. The color of Aquaprase is associated with the throat chakra and the pure energy of expression. Aquaprase is a unification of the sea, clouds and the sand.
